Contact Us The Tompkins County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is located at 903 Hanshaw Road, in the Corners Community shopping plaza in Cayuga Heights. The District is located inside of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Service Center. Click on the "thumbnail" map below to see how to reach the District via Highway 13.
We are located at the back of the Corners Community Shopping Center, next to Stone Travel. The photo below shows Corner's Community and the USDA Service Center sign over our door.

SWCD can be reached directly by phone at 607-257-2340 and by fax at 607-257-7896. Calls may also be made into the USDA Service Center by calling 607-257-3820 – this number allows access to the Tompkins County SWCD, USDA Rural Development, Central Payment Processing Center for Rural Development and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). The Tompkins County SWCD has six full-time employees. It also serves as the field office for USDA-NRCS staff persons. Each can be reached by email by clicking on their name.
